Renee Selby Jones

 

Renee has been dancing since she was about 6 years old and she branched out into Samba (Rio Samba), Afro, Bollywood and World Dance in 2002. She danced with “Melange Dance,” and La Fiesta and now Bollywood Sensations!

 

She studied Music at Griffith University (Mt Gravatt and the CON) and specalised in Musical Theatre during her studies. Renee also has a Bachelor of Education from Griffith University and an Advanced Diploma of Dance from QUT. As a high school teacher Renee was always involved in Schools Spectacular, both as a choreographer and coordinator and has run many school dance and music groups. She has been in musicals on both sides as a performer, choreographer and musical director for productions like The Mikado, West Side Story, MADD, The Blues Brothers and Meet me in St Louis. 

 

To compliment her dancing Renee is also a World and 8 time Australian Champion Roller Skater in Precision Skating and competed on an international stage from 1998-2008. She has skated with Rolling Entertainment in many shows including making it to the Semi Finals of Australia's got talent in 2010, Xanadu at the Mardi Gras with Olivia Newton John and many TV Appearances as a skater. Renee's highest achievement on wheels saw her and her team place 4th at the World Championships- the highest placing by an Australian Precision team to date!
